Star One's new series 'Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein' to be aired six days a week

Following its decision to extend the run of its shows to six days a week starting 22nd of November, Star One has launched a new tele-serial Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein. The serial will go on air starting 22nd of November at 9.00pm.

Set in Bhopal, the serial is the story of a young girl, Alka, born to a political family. Living in New York, studying to be an architect, Alka is all set to settle in the city and make a career for herself. However, life takes a complete U turn when she returns home to India to her father's house for vacation. Alka has to make a transition from a happy-go-lucky non-conformist protagonist to pursue the right path in the face of opposition from her father, her brother and also political rivals.

A strong woman, she is initially lost in a sea of emotions when she realizes that her "New York dream" will be left unfulfilled but in the wake of certain issues which surround her at home she is determined to fight them with conviction.

The show will try to target the audience in the age group of 18-24 and will also have an urban setting.

The show explores family as well as personal relationships with a political background. An awe inspiring girl, Alka is the perfect example of the new age woman ' bold, confident, righteous, and honorable. It is Alka's journey through hardships and setbacks and how these incidents make her believe more in her own principles.

The show is directed and produced by renowned Marathi film-maker Sanjay Surkar. His production house Sarvam Communications will be responsible for nearly a year long run of the show. The new serial's storyline is based on Surkar's famous Marathi movie "Garabaher'

He also said that all the shows across the channel try to revolve around "assertion of the self" and the self in these settings is usually the younger generation in the show.

As a part of the marketing and promotional activities the promo of the show is running across all the channels in the Star TV Network and across channels on other network too. Besides being a channel catering to the young and urban audience, the channel has invested huge monies on digital media across Mumbai, Delhi, 1 million plus towns of Uttar Pradesh and 1 million plus towns across Maharashtra.
