Weekend Exclusive | Kavita Kaushik on her new avatar 'Bubbly Maina'

An  extremely talented actress of the Indian television industry Kavita Kaushik has been in the industry for more than a decade now and has been entertaining her fans with her unique acting style. Her journey in serials started with the soap Kutumb and then she was seen in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii in the role of Manya. Later she portrayed the character of Naina, the wife of Rahul Wadhwa in the afternoon daily `Kumkum`.  She has also acted in one of the popular show `Remix` as a lawyer and  played a brief role in the serial called `Tumhari Disha`.

In an exclusive chat with Adgully, actress Kavita Kaushik, excitedly talks about her acting career, her upcoming show and much more. 

Kavita Kaushik is popularly known as ‘Chandramukhi Chautala’ because of her most famous show F.I.R., where she plays a lead role of a female inspector giving the character a humorous touch.
Speaking about the onset of the  New Year she said, “It’s been an adventurous start of the New Year for me since I partied with Salman Khan and his family and also went on various trips with my friends. I am hoping for the best this year and would also like to  wish everyone a very happy and safe year ahead.”

Kavita has made a mark with her iconic character in show F.I.R. Sharing more on this she said, “I got a great response for my character as Chandramukhi Chautala and always wanted to do such kind of a unique role and had always wanted my role to be related to what I am as a person. My role  in FIR was inspired by  my father.”

Now she is busy promoting her upcoming show ‘Tota Weds Maina’. Speaking about the new character she portrays in this serial she said “Nobody knew what was in store for me after my role as ‘Chandramukhi Chautala’. I too was not sure whether I would be heading for films or reality shows,” says Kavita. “ Then SAB TV offered me the fabulous role of ‘Maina’ which seemed exciting. It is  about a  bubbly and fun loving girl and here I’ll be playing a feminine role which is totally opposite to  my earlier character,” she added.

With regard to roles in the television industry today where  actors want to try and experience different roles but which are tough to get she said , “Every time a role that is offered to actors is not always interesting, but in my case I wanted my next role to be more interesting than the role I played in F.I.R and thankfully I got it.”

Apart from having immense acting talent, Kavita’s  grasping talent is appreciable as well. She adapts easily to new languages and accents.  She said, “ Mohit Jha the director of my new show always acknowledges this fact . For an actor it’s very important to grasp new languages, accents and dialects to portray a certain character.”

She is a jovial, brave and an ingenuous personality and wishes that  Indian girls be brave too. On a serious note she said, “ Indian girls are brave and the recent Delhi protest showed it all. I am proud to be an Indian girl and I salute all the girls of my nation.” “I believe they are a symbol of strength and power. We should not let anyone  forget this,” concluded Kavita.
