Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches music album 'Shanti Samsara' by Zee Music Company

Zee Music Company, a division under Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited gets the prestigious opportunity to produce the music album 'Shanti Samsara’ - World Music for Environmental Consciousness, launched at the COP21 conference - Paris by our Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was presented to President of France, Francois Hollande. The album celebrates nature through different cultures around the world with 300 musicians, including seven Grammy winners all coming together to create environmental consciousness.

On this proud occasion, Chairman ZEEL, Dr. Subhash Chandra said, “We are privileged to be associated with the album ‘Shanti Samsara’ which has received worldwide recognition at COP21 conference by our Hon. Shanti Samsara has been composed by Grammy® Award Winner Ricky Kej and features Sanskrit verses, spoken word by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Hollywood actress Frances Fisher and BAFTA Awards winner Rosanna Arquette. It has country music legend Gary Nicholson, acclaimed Canadian singer Jennifer Gasoi and renowned S. African flutist Wouter Kellerman. This album has Zulu verses by Grammy® Award Winning Soweto Gospel Choir, Rumi verses and Turkish verses. The album also features celebrated Asian musicians from China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea and the feted voices of India’s own Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan- all blending into the harmony for Environmental Consciousness.
