International Advertising Association introduces Regional IndIAA Awards.

The three-year old IndIAA awards from the IAA India Chapter have been accepted as a true national award by the industry.

Now, for the first time the IAA is launching a set of regional awards to take care of the real needs of regional advertisers and agencies.

Ramesh Narayan, President IAA India Chapter says "We are very excited with this new initiative. Positioned as a brand extension of our prestigious IndIAA awards, these awards will fill a huge vacuum in States and help raise the overall standard of advertising in different regions.”

Srinivasan K Swamy, Chairman Regional IndIAA Awards and Chairman, RK Swamy BBDO adds "To recognize excellence in advertising principally in regional languages and by regional agencies, IAA has launched a set of Regional Awards. A component is also included for national advertisers who release work in the regional language.  The first of these regional awards will be for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. For further clarity, the component of AP/Telengana regional awards will be for work created in these two states by agencies located therein; the national component of the awards can be developed anywhere for any client, but the work must have been released in Telugu.”

Mr Narayan further clarified “The campaigns would be short-listed by a set of experienced CMO's who judge creatives every day. And the final round would be judged by CEO's who have a background in marketing. This is similar to the model we use for the national IndIAA awards."

The awards would be presented at a glittering ceremony in Hyderabad where all co-creators of the work would be invited to accept the award jointly.
