BARC Wk 2 ratings: Star Bharat moves past Zee Anmol to claim No. 1 spot in R+U

BARC ratings for Week 2 of 2018 (January 6-12, 2018) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw the see-saw battle continuing between Star Bharat and Zee Anmol, with Star Bharat moving past the latter to claim the numero uno spot. Shows from Zee TV, Star Bharat and Zee Anmol dominated the top 5 shows on Hindi GECs. 

Star Bharat, which ended 2017 topping the Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, was back at the No. 1 spot in Week 2, climbing up a notch. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 713,443, an increase from 678,228 recorded last week. Two of its shows featured among the most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’, was placed in the fourth spot with 10,036 (000) Impressions, while ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ made its debut in the list at No. 5 with 9,831 (000) Impressions. 

Zee Anmol slid a notch to the second spot in Week 2, garnering a gross viewership of 674,543, a decline from 685,344 recorded last week. Re-run of the hit show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was placed at the third spot with 10,676 (000) Impressions. 

Colors remained unchanged at No. 3 in Week 2 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 627,061, an increase from 598,060 recorded last week. 

There was no change in the positions of Zee TV, Sony Pal, Star Utsav and Star Plus in Week 2 as well. 

Zee TV continued to be placed at No. 4, garnering a gross viewership of 571,781, an increase from 569,854. Both ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ continued strong. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ was the most watched show with 12,533 (000) Impressions, while ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ followed in the second spot with 11,275 (000) Impressions. 

Placed at the fifth spot, Sony Pal, recorded an increase in its gross viewership – from 557,297 in Week 1 to 561,707 this week. 

Star Utsav remained in the sixth spot in Week 2, recording a gross viewership of 532,146, a further decline from 546,867 recorded last week. 

Star Plus continued to be placed at No. 7 in Week 2 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 501,448, compared to 545,437 recorded last week. 

Meanwhile, Sony Entertainment Television climbed up a notch to the eighth spot with gross viewership of 434,651, an increase from 420,804 recorded last week. 

Rishtey, on the other hand, slipped a notch to No. 9, garnering a gross viewership of 421,999, a further decline from 455,178 recorded in Week 1. 

Sony SAB continued in the tenth spot with a gross viewership of 401,334, an increase from 379,657 recorded last week.
