AgTalk | We want to offer Bharatberry service to every common person of India: Bharat Berry's Nitin Walia

With an aim to make it easy to keep billion of mobile phones and devices in sync with personal computer-mail systems and social networks via the cloud.,' Bharat Berry,' entered the competitive space of mobile penetration. The service also works on even a low cost handset ensuring that one remains connected to emails, calendar and contacts through the servers hosted in India.

Formally "Bharat Berry' started its journey, in 2010 and launched the services with MTNL Delhi on 9th May 2011 followed with MTNL Mumbai launch on 27th May 2011. There after overseas they signed up an agreement with Mahanagar telephone Mauritius limited. Recently on 14th Nov they launched with BSNL the largest Telecom of India in all its circles Pan India.

Adgully spoke Nitin Walia, Director, Bharat Berry Technologies Pvt Limited to know more about the company which is growing at a faster rate.

Prior to Bharat Berry, Nitin has worked with companies like Data Infocom Limited as Director. He has a strong hand in establishing the DIL brands as leaders in the IT industry. Having over twelve years of management and international business experience in the technology sectors, Walia is a strong believer of "Total Quality Management" as a way of conducting business and corporate turnaround experience. He also has an experience of negotiating with public sector and large enterprises, developing a marketing/brand strategy and planning to help grow ad revenue across multiple platforms. Walia pro-actively directs the marketing teams in providing world-class marketing solutions to meet client objectives.

Adgully (AG): Please share some insights about Bharat berry.

Nitin Walia (NW): Bharat berry has two offering, PUSH Email and PIM SYNC, Bharat Berry "Push email" provides an always- on capability by which new emails are actively transferred. The mobile communication service "Bharat Berry" works with most of the mobile phones and provides a more advanced "push mail", PIm SYNC (Personnel Information Manager) service that provides over the air back- up of the user's contacts, tasks, calendar and notes. Moreover, it can also sync with MS Outlook on the user's computer. Bharat Berry is targeting this service for all range of handsets carrying Blackberry, Symbian, Android, Windows Mobile and J2ME which will cover all major mobile handsets.

AG: What have been the key marketing strategies of your company?

NW: The marketing strategy which we have is to tie-up with operators and offers the services through them for their GSM subscribers. The Price Plan which we have kept is to offer economical service for mass. Also we have Tie-up with the Movie GHOST all spectators who will watch this movie in Cinema Halls will get Free One Month Bharat Berry Subscription.

AG: What kind of road map do you follow?

NW: The road map on marketing side we have is to enable the service on all large telecom operators and on technical side to made Bharat berry support all range of handsets currently we support over 3000 models of all different manufactures.

AG: Recently you launched push email services with BSNL, can please share the highlights of your association.

NW: Yes on 14th Nov we have launched Bharat berry services with BSNl currently we are offering free One Month subscription to all users who will activate services by 14th Dec 2011. The services are already launched PAN India and is available for all 90 Million BSNl GSM Subscribers both prepaid and postpaid.

AG: What are your expectations from this initiative?
