Digital Direction wins silver at Internationalist Awards, New York
In an email confirmation to Digital Direction, the Internationalist said, "This year, the winners demonstrated a greater sophistication in using a wide variety of online platforms. Entries came from 22 countries, and the judges agreed that the work expanded current notions of digital innovation and effectiveness".
Commenting on the award, V K Menon, Head, Corporate Communications, Siemens, said that he was delighted that Siemens work, conceived and implemented by Digital Direction, won SILVER this year after BRONZE last year. "This clearly demonstrates that the innovative digital solutions implemented for Siemens are of global standard." He also sounded optimistic that next year it should be GOLD, as they are embarking on more initiatives on the digital platform. Menon added, "While industry awards are a recognition for the excellent work done on digital platform what really matters to us is the direct results and, we have been seeing that in our business which in my view is a bigger award and reward. We have been consistently and consciously increasing our thrust on digital medium, year on year, from the time we launched the Siemens Answers global campaign in July 2008."
Chintamani Rao, President, R K SWAMY Media Group, said, "We seek innovative, result-oriented media-neutral communication solutions for our clients. For Siemens, which is essentially a B2B business whose core TG is top decision makers, we have been implementing path breaking multimedia "Audience Engagement Programs" across Print, TV and Digital. Results for the client and recognition by the industry is a happy combination indeed."
