Bayer invites students for 'Young Environmental Envoy Program'

Bayer is inviting all Indian students with a passion for the environment to apply for the Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Program (BYEEP) 2010. Participating students win a chance to represent India along with youth delegates from other countries on an all ' expense paid study trip to Germany from November 7-12, 2010.

The BYEEP (Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Program) is a global environment education program organized by Bayer and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to help young people learn about trends and perspectives in the field of environmental protection and sustainability. With this program, Bayer hopes to further strengthen young people's environmental knowledge, thus contributing to greater youth involvement in environmental issues around the world.

The two main winners of BYEEP 2010 from India will visit the Bayer headquarters in Leverkusen, Germany, on a week long study trip, which will give them the unique opportunity to gain a first hand experience of best environmental protection practices by the company, people and government in industrialized countries.

Bayer in India has been participating in this program since 2002. The program is open to all Indian students within the age group of 18 ' 24 years, holding a valid passport and actively involved in a current or completed environmental project.
