Sunil Punjabi bids adieu to Networkplay; Hitesh Trehan elivated as Director Sales

Sunil Punjabi, the Chief Revenue Officer and Vice President - Publications has put in his papers at Networkplay (part of G+J) and made an exit by divesting his stake to Gruner and Jahr.. His next move is unknown but it is believed that he is exploring numerous opportunities. Punjabi was one of the co-founders of Networkplay and led Sales from the early days of the organization. He was instrumental in achieving various milestones for Networkplay, including one of the most important, which is monetization of LinkedIn in India. He was promoted as the Chief Revenue Officer, a post which he was holding for the last 2 years. He was also heading the Publications Division, under which, iMedia Connection India was launched by Networkplay.

Sunil Punjabi commented, “It has been a great ride for me at Networkplay, and I want to thank all the clients and publishers for having made us come this far. The team has been exceptional and I wish Networkplay and the team the best.” He added that he is looking at various options and would be happy to share the same as soon as something is concretized.

In a related development, Hitesh Trehan has been promoted as Director – Sales and will be in charge of leading the sales and driving revenues for Networkplay. Trehan was the Business Head of the Impact – the brand side of business. Trehan has also been with Networkplay for over 3 years now and has been leading sales in the north and then heading Impact side of business for the last year.
