Shows on Star English Cluster bag maximum Emmy nominations
It was a big night for Hollywood as the nominations for the biggest and most coveted international television awards were announced. In its 68th year, the Primetime Emmy awards recognize the best and are touted as the ‘Oscars of Television’. The predications and expectations had already begun months ago, with everyone from fans to critics to international media picking their favourites. 8000 entries from across the past 12 months were reviewed by the academy and the top contenders across categories emerged with Game of Thrones, American Crime Story, How to Get Away with Murder and several more.
The Star English network too has reason to celebrate as the maximum nominations have been bagged by the shows broadcast across its English entertainment channels. With a staggering 144 nominations across its wide bouquet of content offerings, the Emmy nomination announcements further prove that Star indeed is home to the most popular and critically acclaimed international shows.
The red carpet and 68th Primetime Emmys award ceremony itself shall be simulcast LIVE exclusively on the Star English network’s channels with a primetime repeat. Furthermore, the most loved talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show fame will return to host the 68th Emmy Awards this year.
Adding to the excitement for the biggest event, Star English has planned a power packed line-up of these Emmy nominated shows and a comprehensive marketing plan for the event.
