Ramesh Rajan bids adieu to PWC after 30 years

Ramesh Rajan, the former Chairman of Pricewater house Coopers India entities has resigned after having been with PWC for over 3 decades. Ramesh Rajan was the first elected Chairman and Senior Partner of PWC India by the partners. Ramesh Rajan  has resigned from PWC effective 30th June.

Ramesh Rajan’s exit from PWC follows other high profile partner exits like Jai Purandare, Madhavan, Ambarish Dasgupta, Usha Narayanan and Kumar Dasgupta to name a few. During his tenure with PWC, Rajan significantly strengthened the India practice and embarked upon an ambitious transformation program and pointed out that RSM & Co, a leading tax firm, Dalal and Shah which has marquee domestic groups as audit clients and Eicher Consulting a boutique consulting firm joined the PWC network during Rajan’s Chairmanship. Rajan led the firm during what was probably the most challenging and difficult period in the 135 years history of the organization before stepping down as the Chairman to take on a global role.
