National Geographic Channel organises a woof-up for pet parents & their dogs for their new show

For the India launch of their much-awaited show Cesar to the Rescue, National Geographic Channel in association with their digital agency Flying Cursor has come up with a bunch of fun activities for dogs and their two-legged companions.

The show is about world-renowned canine expert Cesar Milan visiting communities terrorised by ill-mannered dogs and resolving the problems they create with tricks and behavioural techniques. To get dog lovers excited about the launch of the show, they've started an activity called #PoseWithYourDog on Facebook and Twitter that requires people to upload their dogfies, i.e. selfies with dogs.

Every pet parent loves to click pictures with their dog, but what sets this activity apart from the rest is the rewards it has to offer. #PoseWithYourDog is giving away interesting rewards to dogs, not their two-legged companions. It's not a surprise to see every pet parent posing with their dog to win a fantastic accessory for their dog. Within a span of just 3 days, their Facebook app and Twitter feed buzzed with adorable dogfies, with around 160 entries on Facebook & over 180 entries on Twitter.

That's not all. The best dogfies also get a chance to be guests at the special Woof-up, the exclusive premiere of Cesar to the Rescue at Loca Loca in Mumbai, on August 23. Why woof-up? It's a meet-up where winners get a chance to can walk in with their dogs. Yes, with their dogs! Along with the screening of the show, the woof-up will also have interactive fun games for dogs and their two-legged parents. The company of their pet parents over the weekend is not the only treat for the furry guests, the woof-up will have a menu specially designed to appease their taste buds.

"Having a dog myself, I know how much we love to pamper our dogs. That's why we thought it would be great to give out fantastic accessories for dogs instead of people.
And it'll be fun to watch all dogs come together and have dog lovers meet and bond over the exclusive screening of the first episode of Cesar to the Rescue.", says Shormistha Mukherjee, director, Flying Cursor.

With this interesting way of tapping into the community of dog lovers, National Geographic Channel has definitely got us intrigued about the show. Make sure you tune into Cesar to the Rescue. It starts on August 30, 8.30 PM.
