Madison IES partners the KSCA's Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

The iconic, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) celebrated its Platinum Jubilee Celebrations with a grand function at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on August 17th 2013. Established in 1934, the Karnataka State Cricket Association, then named as the Mysore State Cricket Association, has made steady progress and many great cricketers have emerged from its portals.

Madison IES – Madison Integrated Experiential Solutions, the Specialist  Unit of Madison World in collaboration with Madison Media and Madison PR and won the multi-agency pitch and partnered with KSCA to make the grand celebrations a reality. Madison worked closely with the KSCA honorable president Anil Kumble and honorable secretary Javagal Srinath in making the grand event a memorable one. As official partners on the project, Madison IES conceptualized & executed the Grand Celebration event along with other collateral events beginning 10th August and concluding with the grand finale event held on 17th August, 2013 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Madison was the one shop solution for Event planning and execution, Creative, PR, Media Integration, Marketing and Sponsorship.

Anil Kumble – President KSCA, shared his experience on KSCA’s celebrations journey by saying that “It was a momentous day for all of us here at KSCA. The Association’s unwavering dedication to the cause of cricket ever since it was founded in Mysore in the 1930s has made us stay proud of our history. As I look back at how we have reached this stage, I am filled with great pride and gratitude. With the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations we remembered our predecessors with fondness and with an overwhelming sense of appreciation of their dreams which allowed people like us to realize our dreams. Through the many ups and downs we have soldiered on as a tribute to the visionaries of yore to whom we are both answerable and accountable.”

“ It was raining cricketers at the stadium, with cricketing legends like Sir Richard Hadlee, Bishan Singh Bedi, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, Javagal Srinath, Sourav Ganguly amongst others. The event witnessed a first of its kind live talk-shows involving the cricketing legends on their experiences, the future of cricket and advising on the young guns on harnessing their skills” said Saumen Roy, DGM Madison IES.

The gala event also saw felicitation of great players from Karnataka State Cricket, International Umpires, Indian Women Captains, Ranji Team players and International Crickets. The Governor of Karnataka graced the occasion with his presence along with other dignitaries. Raghu Dixit Project and Avinash Chebby enthralled the audience with their performances.

The project was also supported by television and print media, where Madison Media came into the picture. Speaking on the project, Dinesh, COO Madison Media said, “The brief for this event was rather different from our usual media briefs which made it very exciting and challenging at the same time. We thoroughly enjoyed working very closely with cricket fraternity and to be a part of a landmark event in Bangalore”

The collateral events organized and executed were namely a FLEA MARKET - with various Handicrafts, jewellery, Wall Décor, Caricature artists’ stalls. A Special CRICKET CUISINE, featuring favorite dish of six select cricketers. A DOODLY STALL (event mascot) for fun and games, the profits from which was forwarded to CM RELIEF FUND.

A CLUB DAY was also organized for honouring the senior most clubs affiliated to KSCA for their contribution to Karnataka Cricket, followed by a discussion on ‘CLUB CRICKET IN KARNATAKA’ by Javagal Srinath, Rahul Dravid, Ramchandra Guha.The events were exclusive for KSCA members and guests.
