LeEco unveils its 3.0 strategy in India; beefs up super product offerings

Chinese tech major LeEco unveiled its second generation Le devices at an event in Delhi today. The devices include super phones such as Le 2, Super TV, LeSee – an electronic vehicle, CDLA (Continual Digital LossLess Audio) earphones and more. LeEco India also introduced LeMall, its e-commerce platform offering the company’s smart devices.

Speaking about the company’s presence in India so far, Tin Mok, CEO – APAC, LeEco, said, “Our arrival in India has been tremendous. LeEco had entered the India market in January this year with the LeMax smartphones.

Apart from the devices, LeEco India also unveiled its content plans. The Live Desktop feature offers a comprehensive media library along with integrated live streaming. “Watch your favourite TV shows live,” said Mok.

Debashish Ghosh, COO – Content Business, LeEco India, announced the premium content on offer. As is known, LeEco has inked strategic partnerships with Eros Film Company and YuppTV to offer entertainment, news, movies, music, kids, and lifestyle content. Top films will also be offered on the superphones, along with interactive, original content. “Content experience and exclusive services...we call it Membership 3.0,” Ghosh said, adding there would also be live streaming of concerts.

Atul Jain, COO - Smart Electronics Business, LeEco India, introduced the company’s proprietary technology, called CDLA (Continual Digital LossLess Audio).

Meanwhile, music composer Pritam and singer Nakash Aziz launched the LeEco Anthem for the super products at the event.

The company is also on the lookout for 200 Chief Experience Officers (CEO) and will reveals the details on June 15, 2016.
