JCDecaux consolidates its Bus Shelter dominance in the city of Delhi!

Continuing the trend of consolidating its dominance in the city of Delhi, JCDecaux India has signed a new contract with Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DTIDC), an enterprise of GNCT of Delhi for Construction/ Up gradation, Operations, Cleaning, Maintenance & Marketing of 419 Bus shelters in Delhi.

Under this agreement JCDecaux India will be upgrading 319 existing shelters along with constructing new shelters on 100 locations spread across the city of Delhi.
The agreement had been signed for a period of 20 Years which is further extendable to 5 years.
 
With this agreement JCDecaux India further consolidates its position in Delhi and its Media Portfolio is as follows:
  • Bus Shelters: 866
  • PMM/Flag pole: 1438
  • Capsule Restrooms: 26
  • Seniors: 50
  • Vending kiosks: 24
  • Police Booth (Columns): 10
 
The state-of-the-art advertising bus shelters will be located across all areas: Central, North, South, East & West Delhi making JCDecaux a one-stop-shop for brands requiring city wide campaigns in Delhi.
 
Commenting on the development Arvinder Singh Lovely, Transport Minister, GNCT of Delhi said: “The endeavour of the Government of Delhi is to provide world class infrastructure to the residents of Delhi.  In the recent past, government has taken a number of initiatives to enhance the Public Transport System in the city such as introducing new state-of-the-art Bus Queue Shelters for the benefit of its citizens. JCDecaux has consistently performed in maintenance of their bus queue shelters and has delivered a self-satisfactory experience for the public transport users.”
