IRS 2011 Q4: Magazines continues to show negative growth

Hindi Monthly magazine Pratiyogita Darpan drops down from 2,025,000 to 2,001,000 with Saras Salil from 1,941,000 to 1,768,000. Cricket Samrat from 1,159,000 to 1,154,000 at no. three with India Today from 1,116,000 to 1,072,000 at no. four showed decline. Next three magazines reported decline as Grehalakshmi from 9,83,000 to 9,52,000, Grih shobha from 9,90,000 to 9,51,000 and Champak from 8,59,000 to 8,53,000. Samanya Gyan Darpan makes entry in the list with growth of 1,678,000 whereas Mei Saheli also showed growth from 1,209,000 to 1,213,000. At no. ten Nirogdham reported decline from 7, 73,000 to 7,52,000.

English weekly magazine India Today tops the chart with slight decline from 1,636,000 to 1,611,000 whereas Monthly magazines showed growth. General Knowledge Today reported growth from 1,087,000 to 1,092,000, Readers Digest from 9, 98,000 to 1,058,000 and Competition Success Review from 6, 57,000 to 6,97,000. At no. five weekly magazine Outlook reported growth from 4, 44,000 to 48,700 with Week showing growth from 3,87,000 to 4,38,000. At no. 7 Pratiyogita Darpan's English edition makes in the list with growth of 4,04,000. At no. eight Stardust reported rise from 3,85,000 to 4,03,000 and at no. 9 Business Today showed growth from 3,45,000 to 3,57,000. Wisdom at no. 10 reported slight rise from 3,18,000 to 3,27,000.

Malyalam monthly magazine Vanitha reported decline from 2,590,000 to 2,516,000 whereas weekly magazine Malayala Manorama drops from 1,307,000 to 1,206,000. Bengali weekly magazines reported slight rise where Karmakshetra rise from 1,047,000 to 1,090,000 , Karmasangsthaan showed growth from 8,55,000 to 9,07,000. Tamil magazines showed decline where Kumudam drops from 1,030,000 to 9,76,000 and Ananda Vikatan from 7,81,000 to 7,28,000. Malyalam magazines too showed decline as Mathrubhumi Arogya Masika drops from 9,59,000 to 8,92,000, Balarama from 8,51,000 to 8,04,000 and Mathrubhumi Tozhil Vartha falls from 8,29,000 t0 7,58,000. At no. 10 Bengali weekly Saptahik Bartaman reported slight rise from 6,67,000 to 7,20,000.
