Intel's First Ever Ad Campaign in India: With a PC, You Are Powerful.

For the first time ever, Intel has launched an advertising campaign in India to showcase its Ek Kadam Unnati Ki Aur initiative. The idea behind the program is to bring the power of the PC to the grassroots level in India, and bring clarity to the public about how a PC can be a tool to achieve creativity, self-expression, personal and professional growth. The campaign went live on the 9th of June, and focuses on real life stories narrated in a relatable manner about the difference a PC can make to education and entrepreneurship. You can watch the ads here:

Chanderi - The Dawn of a Digital Tradition

A true story about how Intel-powered devices enabled textile designers in Chanderi, Ashoknagar, Madhya Pradesh to modernize the dying craft of Chanderi saree making.  By utilizing design software and internet connectivity on a PC, the women behind the textile making were able to expand their presence to the online marketplace and reach new customers across the country, elevating their business from a local emporium to a digital store.

Anyone Can Learn - It's All About a PC

The tale of Manish Garg, a medical scientist and the son of a farmer, who had to drop out of his local school in a village in Chattisgarh after class 10. With the help of a PC, he was able to clear the IIT-JEE, and now, his interest in quantum optics has taken him to Munich, where he is pursuing a PhD to develop a laser electronics innovation which can detect cancer during MRI and X-Rays. The ad highlights how his exponential career has been enabled at every stage by the capabilities of a PC.

Intel is activating this campaign live on-ground, by bringing Intel-powered devices to village common service centers (CSCs), where local citizens can access computers, the internet, and participate in training sessions in digital literacy and skills, all for free. Once citizens receive hands-on PC experience, Intel’s vision is to bring the benefits of computer ownership to every household across India.

We are very excited about our debut ad campaign in India and we hope you find it interesting to review. The campaign has been developed for India by Mc-GarryBowen, a Dentsu Aegis network agency headquartered in the US.
