Game Of Thrones to premier not before 2019

Game of Thrones’ fans have to wait for a while as HBO has finally announced that the eighth and final episode of this fantasy series will not air before 2019.  Any specific date has not yet been revealed for its premier and it is for the first time that the series has skipped an entire year ever since it was debuted.

The eighth season will be the shortest yet, with only six episodes, making it shorter than the last season which had seven episodes, and much shorter than the first six seasons of the show which had 10 episodes each.

The seventh season wrapped in August and the filming for the final season started in October last year, and is expected to continue until mid-2018.

Directors for the new season are: series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, David Nutter, and Miguel Sapochnik. Benioff and Weiss will also write the new season along with Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill.
