Dramebaaz kids instantly lift your mood: Pradeep Hejmadi

You’ve seen them deliver famous movie dialogues with flair… narrate funny anecdotes with so much drama ‘n’ masti that you want to pull their cheeks … they do role plays of their parents, teachers and neighbours with an adorable glint in their eyes … and their unabashed attitude of dramebaazi can instantly brighten your mood. They trooped in flamboyantly and won your hearts with their dramebaazi in 2013 and now a fresh batch of 16 is all set to dazzle you with their adorable innocence and histrionic abilities as India’s leading broadcaster, Zee TV,  presents audiences with season 2 of its immensely successful reality series - ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’. Premiering on 12th December, the show will air every Saturday-Sunday at 9:30 PM, only on Zee TV.

Having celebrated the singing and dancing talents of the masses and made heroes out of India’s common man, Zee TV’s ‘Surf Excel India’s Best Dramebaaz co-powered by Patanjali Dantkanti’ presents a national platform for the acting talent of kids! There’s going to be just pure unadulterated entertainment as the multi-faceted director Sajid Khan joins Sonali Bendre & Vivek Oberoi on the judges’ panel. Known for their sparkling wit and infectious energy, the charming duo of Rithvik Dhanjani & Ravi Dubey will keep the talented brat pack as also the judges in great spirits with their lively, playful chemistry as hosts.

Pradeep Hejmadi, Business Head, Zee TV said, “With the resounding success of  ‘DID L’il Masters’ and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs’ - two of Zee TV’s homegrown formats centered around kids’ talents,  the channel is the pioneer of the space. With season 1 of India’s Best Dramebaaz also having topped popularity charts in 2013, one can safely say that Zee TV understands children like no one else does! The new season of ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’ looks out for children with an ability to diffuse any tension and instantly brighten your mood with their ability to entertain! We are privileged to have the judge trio of Sajid-Vivek-Sonali and Ravi-Rithvik as hosts. The objective is to create a positive atmosphere that helps these talented kids emerge as well-rounded actors.  We look forward to a season packed with phenomenal performances and some great entertainment.”

As to how the channel is encouraging the children to put their best foot forward, Hejmadi explained, “As we give feedback to them, we are giving them in terms of homework. With every feedback, we just want to boost their talent and confidence. Also we have Gulakh in which they keep on getting points. So when the kid has to go back home, they can know the count of points in their gulakh. So brand experience is very positive. After a hard day’s work, when we see child’s face, everything neutralises. India’s Best Dramebaaz aim is to boost child’s confidence. So when they are putting up act, we encourage dramebaazi in a positive way”.

Produced by Frames Productions, the talent hunt show will put children in the age range of 5-13 years through a series of tasks and challenges that will enhance their creativity, spontaneity and acting abilities. Over the last 6 months, Zee TV has conducted a comprehensive search for the 16 most promising kids through auditions across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, Patna, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Indore, Lucknow, Ranchi and Dehradun and unearthed some spectacular talent. The short-listed contestants will undergo intensive workshops that will hone their acting talent, explore and further develop allied talents like singing and dancing – The idea is to groom the talented children to emerge as complete entertainers!

As for what would be the key differentiators of the show Hejmadi explained, “The team is different this time and we wanted to avoid long days of shoot with children. Grooming is important; it should not be restricted to only performing an act. Inspiring them is very important as they can continue their positive journey. Our show is formatted in such a way that kids who are less confident can emerge as more confident after the show. At every stage of life, people have hopes and we have given them the stage through DID Lil Masters, etc. Talking about India’s Best Dramebaaz, we don’t have to do much as lot of kids have it in them. I don’t want that we should take credit for their talent. I am hoping that big stars will come and inspire the kids. Also we don’t want families to be embarrassed about what their child is doing. There may be something which they can’t see, but we can.”
