Celebrate the Oscars Fever with two Award Winning Films!

As we inch closer to the Oscars, fans continue to anticipate for the most coveted awards season in the history of cinema. As the OSCARS will airing live on February 27th, Star Movies has taken up this opportunity to celebrate the past Oscar winning films  through a film festival‘Oscar Fever’ showcasing a gamut of notable films every Monday to Thursday @ 9pm each week by paying homage to one notable category of the Academy and the films that have been lucky enough to be a part of it. Star Movies Select HD adds to festival the it with a feature of Academy Award winning films every Monday to Friday at 7pm airing a line-up of selective critically praised films on ‘Celebrating the Oscars’

Tonight, Matt Damon’s film ‘The Martian’ tells the sci-fi story of an astronaut stranded on Mars after his team assumes him dead is set to be aired as a proud part of the Oscar Fever. Directed by Ridley Scott, the spectacular journey shown in the film where the brave character, Mark Watney subsists and finds a way to signal to Earth that he is alive surviving through the toils with only a handful of supplies and the brilliance of his wit and positive spirit. The Martian received great accolades for the outstanding direction, screenplay and performance along with being nominated for 7 Oscars categories. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring then named "The Martian" home. The other crewmates concurrently plot a daring to run a rescue mission bringing their friend back henceforth unfolding the amazing plot with its stories of incredible bravery paying true homage to the festival Oscar Fever.

Written by Oscar winner writer Michael Arndt, Little Miss Sunshine is a perfect combustion of character and comedy. A complete hilarious film where the Hoover’s family is determined to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant by even travelling a cross country journey in their VW bus depicts that life is about twisted roads and so are the laughs. Being a potential participant of the film festival ‘Celebrating the Oscars’, Little Miss Sunshine starring Abigail Breslin as Olive Hoover, boasts a perfect blend of farce and wonderful performance taking the sense of humour to the next level. The movie rolled the audience in theatres with clear loud laughters. A worth watching movie  Little Miss Sunshine is a mandatory film that you got to watch before your deathbed.
