Adani Electricity Mumbai lights up the city streets this Diwali

To celebrate the festival of lights, Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) has lit up the city streets by installing street light poles this week. With an aim to increase the safety and security of the residents and daily commuters, AEML installed 111 street lights across Chembur, Charkop, Jogeshwari (W), Bhayander, and BKC.

In a survey that was conducted earlier this year, the mentioned streets were highlighted by its residents, raising concerns for having no street light poles in the vicinity, causing difficulty while traveling in the night and also affecting the overall safety of the residents. AEML took the initiative to approach the authorities and got approvals for installing street light poles across these five stretches in the southern, central, and western region.

Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited also created a video on its new journey to light up streets, villages and cities across the country. The Adani Group wants to be #JugnooZindagiKa as the company works towards illuminating millions of lives across the nation.

Commenting on this initiative, AEML spokesperson said, “We are committed to the safety of Mumbaikars and street lights are an important part in ensuring the security levels of the city. Through this initiative, we plan to increase the comfort and safety of residents and daily commuters in these locations. To celebrate the festivals of lights, we have brightened up the city streets which earlier had no street lights.”
