Zee Studio to bring "The Help"

This December, Zee Studio brings the Academy Award winning movie “The Help” to your TV screens on Sunday, 8th December at 1.30 pm and 10.30 pm.

An American film adaption of the book by the same name, The Help stars Emma Stone of The Amazing Spiderman fame and Academy Award Nominee Jessica Chastain of Zero Dark Thirty fame. Based on the theme of racism, the movie has won accolades from the critics and the viewers alike. Nominated for a flurry of awards, which includes Four Academy Awards nominations and one win and four Golden Globe nominations and one win, The Help is definitely a movie o look forward to.

Featuring an ensemble cast, the film is about a young white woman, Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan, and her relationship with two black maids, Aibileen Clark and Minny Jackson during Civil Rights era America. The film portrays racism from the point of view of these maids which they face while working for a white family. Actress Octavia Spencer who portrayed the character of Minny Jackson, bagged the award for The Best supporting Actress at both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. The film also received the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
