Sunil Grover returns to Comedy Nights with Kapil in a new character!

Comedy Nights with Kapil lovers have some more good news knocking at their doors. Some weeks back, we at Adgully reported that the show is set to go off-air as Kapil Sharma had sent a farewell tweet of sorts thanking his viewers for love and support. The reason cited for this was Sharma’s film deal with Yash Raj Films, which has now been called off by the latter. Understandably, the show is here to stay and aims to continue to tickle funny bones of its viewers.

As the doze of comedy continues, good news is that Sunil Grover aka Gutthi is coming back to his home-ground of sorts. As known to all, Grover made his exit from CNWK in October last year and went on to be a part of Star Plus’s Mad in India, which was based on the similar concept where he played the character of Chutki.  However, after putting all efforts in the show, Mad in India didn’t work well and went off-air quite early.

This understandably had opened doors for Grover to either take up new concepts or shows, or re-enter the most talked show CNWK. According to sources, “Sunil is ready to make a comeback on the show but this time not as Gutthi and will be playing a different character.”

The speculations of Grover entering CNWK were doing rounds for quite some time now. However, sources also say that he may play the role of Kapil's father-in-law in the show i.e. Manju’s (Sumona Chakravarti) father. When we asked Sunil Grover, he said, “I can’t share or comment anything on this as of now. Please give me some time will share the things soon.” As everyone is awaiting Grover’s re-entry on the show in a new look, we hope that he’ll be able to recreate similar interest and magic that Gutthi did for the viewers and himself.
