Star Parivaar Awards to sizzle screens on 13th July'13

Indian television’s much awaited grand spectacle, Star Parivaar Awards, will sizzle screens yet again. The eleventh edition of Star Parivaar Awards, to be aired on STAR Plus on 13th July at 8PM, will celebrate the strong family bonds through its new theme – ‘Yeh Prem Kahaani Hai…Parivaar Ki’.

Star Parivaar Awards is a celebration of virtuous family bonds that help us clearly distinguish right from wrong and lay the foundations for a better society. Star, like a worthy family member to millions of its viewers, has always envisaged to extend the scope of this grand award ceremony by blending entertainment with a social thread.

The award ceremony this year will convey an important message against a malice that has gripped our attention span for many months now – atrocities against women. The pertinent social message will be supported by senior leader and Honourable Union Minister for Communication and IT, Mr. Kapil Sibal, who’ll be seen reciting a thought-provoking poem on women empowerment. A special act inspired by Mr. Sibal’s poem was also staged during the award ceremony to promote gender equality.

The show will begin with Suraj, from Diya Aur Baati Hum enchanting the audience with his brave stunt depicting the lives of progressive Indian women, juggling between their homes and career. ‘Shades of a Woman’, a performance by Pankhuri from Pyaar Ka Dard Hai and Ratan from Veera, stirred up deep emotions and left the gathering with moist eyes. With talented dancers from Shaimak Davar’s troupe and earthy narrative from Mr. Sibal, the act spread a wave of change within the audience and the Parivaar members.

Star Parivaar Awards will also feature entertaining performances that encapsulate the saga of eternal romance and are bound to leave the viewers spellbound. Some other sensational performances at this year’s Star Parivaar Awards include the ‘Magic Act’ by Veera, Viren and Jeevika, ‘Romantic Act’ by Naitik-Akshara, Aditya-Pankhuri, Gopi-Ahem, Sandhya-Sooraj and Jai-Mahhi. While Chef Vikas Khanna would make his television dance debut, other members, Guman, Rashi, Urmila and many more sizzled the stage with memorable performances.
