Spirit W | Women are comparatively more multi-tasking: Lowe Beijing's Fanny Yum Miu Ling

Fanny Yum, born and brought up in Hong Kong, graduated in Carleton University, Canada, majoring in Mass Communication, Started her 4As agency life since the day after her graduation.

A very easy going person by nature, who loves to cook for her friends and her kids; Fanny has been working in China, including Shanghai and Beijing, for more than 12 years. Yum has extensive experience in FMCG, Banking, Mobile Communication, Business Services from both multinational and local brands.

Her previous brand experience ranges from Pepsi Food & Beverage, Nokia, to Motorola, Visa, Natural Beauty, Founder, Mengniu, Loreal, Nestle, HSBC, Haier goods, etc.

In an exclusive chat with Adgully, Fanny Yum Miu Ling, General Manager, Lowe Beijing, spoke about her organisation in China and the China market.

Telling us a bit about herself, she said, "I am a HongKonger who has been working and living in China for more than a decade. Advertising agency, or to be more specific 4As creative brand agency, is the only working experience I had since the day I graduated. And I am a mother of 2 monsters."

She started her career with McCann Erickson. She says, "McCann Erickson Hong Kong offered me the post of an Account Executive right after my graduation. I accepted, of course, that's how my life in ad agency started. I didn't know that I would love advertising so much before that."

She said that she enjoyed the way she was perceived by her peers or senior associates and also believes that she is actually not as career minded, as they thought but just enjoys what she is doing.
