Myntra.com launches The Indian Fashion League!

While our favorite cricketers battle it out on the field to decide which city plays the best cricket, Myntra.com has unveiled an exciting new concept based on Fashion – the IFL (Indian Fashion League), to determine which city has the highest fashion quotient.

Starting on May 9, 2014, Myntra’s IFL is a 20-day bonanza that will enable shoppers to make their online shopping experience more intriguing and also win exciting prizes in the process. For shoppers, it’s no longer about simply purchasing garments online, but rather about making a style statement that dazzles viewers and gets them to promote and endorse trends from each of the eight cities. The city that has the most fashionable style quotient will be declared as the trendiest city in India.

To avail these interesting offers at Myntra.com, players will be required to vote for their favorite city in a competition that will follow a round robin phase, followed by the knockout stage, similar to popular cricketing formats. The team that will garner the maximum consumer participation through crowdsourcing of pictures and higher engagement will earn more points. The tournament winner will take home a brand new Hyundai i10 as the bumper prize.

The first-ever online Fashion League in Indian e-commerce history will require participants to do what they do best on social media, be the trendiest, coolest and most active members of the contest. The contest features eight city based teams sponsored by popular brands like ONLY, Vero Moda, Breakbounce, Roadster, Jack & Jones, Cherokee, John Players and The Vanca. The portal is also conducting a Street Style Face-off between the participating cities as their teams compete against each other.
