MSLGROUP bags 'Asia PR Network of the Year' recognition

MSLGROUP, Publicis Groupe’s strategic communications and engagement consultancy was awarded ‘Asia-Pacific Network of the Year’ for the second straight year and Asia President Glenn Osaki was named ‘Agency Head of the Year’, at the prestigious Campaign Asia-Pacific 2013 PR Week Awards on June 28.

It is rare that the top prize of ‘Asia-Pacific Network of the Year’ is awarded to the same agency in back-to-back years. The jury comprised of communications clients said that MSLGROUP stood out for its talent initiatives as well as its meaningful and engaging CSR work. The jury also highlighted that MSLGROUP maintained high retention levels for both clients and talent, which proved that MSLGROUP delivers best-in-class client service as well as strong internal programs for local talent to develop their careers.

MSLGROUP Asia dominated the ‘People & Consultancies’ categories as Asia President Glenn Osaki was awarded for his outstanding leadership and professional performance. Osaki’s commitment to harnessing the best local talent to address fast-changing local markets and supporting them with the training, tools and processes of a global firm, has helped MSLGROUP become Asia’s leading, truly integrated strategic communications and engagement consultancy. The jury specifically commented that Osaki stood out for his strong stand on industry education as well as growth of the agency. Osaki’s teachings and presentations about the PR industry to universities and business associations across Asia contributed to an enhanced understanding and positioning of strategic communications advisory as a key industry to the next generation of professionals.

Commenting on the award wins, Glenn Osaki, President, MSLGROUP Asia, said, “I am so overwhelmed and proud of our colleagues for being recognised as Asia-Pacific Network of the Year in back-to-back years! This win validates our strategy of investing in the best local talent in the region and providing them with a platform to develop their careers so they are equipped to do the very best work for our clients. I believe we are just getting started in Asia, and that we have the right business plan and momentum to delight clients and empower staff for years to come.”

The Campaign Asia-Pacific PRWeek Awards is one of the leading agency recognition programmes in the region and is renowned as a benchmark in the communications industry, rewarding agencies for the strategies, people and achievements that have transformed businesses and brands.
