Quarter 2 IRS report has been declared. It throws light on which publication has made a significant gain in terms of readers and which has lost drastically. Some of them, though keeping their positions as market leaders have lost when compared to the previous quarter. Interestingly enough some unexpected players have gained over a large number. Here is a quick look at exactly who has notably contributed to the market and who's not.

Hindustan (Hindi Newspaper): Gained 229,000 readers over Q1

Dainik Jagaran (Hindi Newspaper): Lost 388,000 readers over Q1

Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi Newspaper): Lost 89,000 readers over Q1

Hindustan (Hindi Newspaper): Gained 229,000 readers over Q1

Nai Dunia (Hindi Newspaper): Gained 138,000 readers over Q1

Biggest losers:

Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi Newspaper): Lost 89,000 readers over Q1

DNA (English Newspaper): Gained 119,000 readers over Q1

Deccan Chronicle (English Newspaper): Gained 28,000 readers over Q1

Biggest losers:

The New Indian Express (English Newspaper): Lost 19,000 readers over Q1

Enadu (Telugu Newspaper): Gained 211,000 readers over Q1

Daily Sakal (Marathi Newspaper): Gained 110,000 readers over Q1

Biggest Losers:

Matrubhumi (Malayalam Newspaper): Lost 132,000 readers over Q1

Over all the growth of the English News dailies and Language News Dailies were close to 0.70% as compared to Hindi News Dailies which remained at just 0.20%
