"Goa is lucky for me" says Rohit Shetty

Mumbai should take some lessons from Goa as far as good roads are concerned says director Rohit Shetty who has professed his love for Goa, where several of his super hit films have been shot.

Shetty, while addressing a media conference, also said that authorities and people in Goa were warm and the place beautiful and lucky for him.

“I love Goa. Coming and shooting here is possible because the authorities, people and the warmth we get here is beautiful. Goa is a beautiful city, especially Panjim. The roads are so neat here. Mumbai should take a note. I feel very lucky to shoot here,” Shetty was talking to journalists during a media conference at the IFFI venue.

He said that actor Ajay Devgan and he share a “good chemistry” and like the Oscar awards, IFFI “is also IFFI is also a platform where the world is looking at you and acknowledging your existence”.

He said that unlike Hollywood, Bollywood does not have big markets, but “keeping them in mind we are superior and we do have budgets”.

Chairman of the Entertainment Society of Goa Vishnu Wagh who was also present said that Shetty is synonymous with Goa and that he had spread Goa’s image across the globe.

“Even his film Chennai Express was shot in Goa. Goa is very proud of him. We want to felicitate him on the concluding day today,” Wagh said while praising the director.

“EGS is happy that we got a good response from the delegates and personalities who visit IFFI. We will work on our flaws and keep doing better every year,” he said.
