FreeCharge Digital Republic Blog Challenge launched for young writers in India

FreeCharge, India’s fastest growing digital payments platform, announced a pan India blog challenge in the country calling upon the best writers across India giving them a chance to win exciting prizes, get their blogs published on FreeCharge and even stand a potential chance to intern at FreeCharge. The competition will be open for Indian citizens between the age of 18-25 years.

The campaign is aimed at letting young bloggers and opinionators voice their opinions and thoughts on the current digital revolution scenario in the country and how these changes will pan out in the future. The topics on which the participants need to blog on include:

Cashless economy and financial inclusion are two sides of the same coin. This is what a cashless economy for the millennials will look like. 

FreeCharge has announced exciting prizes worth 1,00,000 for 1 winner, 50,000 for the next 2 and 20,000 each for 5 others. The blogs will be judged on the basis of strength of the arguments made, flow of the written piece and creativity in writing style. The entries can be submitted till 16th January.

Commenting on the initiative, Sudeep Tandon, CBO of FreeCharge said, “India is witnessing massive change and acceptance as far as digital wallets is concerned and the demonetisation drive by the Government has been a massive push toward this journey. FreeCharge would like to wake the young writers of India to understand their opinion and support. The winners have a slew of prizes to be won and more importantly have an opportunity to get their voices heard.”

FreeCharge’s endeavor is to influence the daily payment habits of consumers and offer an assortment of merchants to help them move away from cash.
