Dreamworks studio's big-wig Shelley Page visits India

Shelley Page, Head of international outreach at DreamWorks Animation is on a trip to India, in an endeavour to expose Indian animation students to world-class work in the field produced by the brightest of students from across the globe in her extremely popular session called ‘Eye Candy’. To fulfil its strive to go beyond classroom teaching and impart maximum valuable guidance to their students, Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) has requested Page to guide their students so that they can achieve a holistic, creative and skill development which would result in a talent pool of artists that meet international standards in the country. She is conducting exclusive sessions for MAAC students to demonstrate high quality work and answer the students’ queries about the global animation industry.

Shelley Page has been working in the field of feature animation since 1986. Her credits include ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’,’ Shrek 1-4’, ‘Madagascar’, ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. She graduated from Kingston University in 1977 in graphic design and is also Professor at several top international art schools. Judging animation talents at graduation showcases and festivals across the globe, she has access to some of the brightest new talent in animation. Shelley Page sits on many international festival panels and award juries every year and collects her personal favourites into a special screening, which represents some of the most talented emerging artists in the international animation scene as well as award-winning work from renowned independent studios around the world. She will be displaying this collection which she calls ‘Eye Candy’ to the enthusiastic MAAC students.
