'Choti Bahu' completes her journey on Zee TV!

When all Hindi General Entertainment Channels considered 8 pm to 11 pm to be the prime time to garner maximum eyeballs, Zee TV showed how path-breaking content can be showcased on television by launching Choti Bahu at a time slot that aired only repeat programming. This show not only created history by extending the prime time slot to early prime time ' 7:30 pm but it also delivered numbers which beat some of the best shows across GEC's in the prime time. The lead cast of the show ' Radhika and Dev - became household names and characters were so much loved that they gained a huge loyal viewership. But, just as all good things come to an end, Choti Bahu too will come to a grand end on Monday, 20th September 2010

Choti Bahu will give a beautifully scripted handover to Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo on Monday, September 20 at 7 30 pm promising its viewers that the legacy of superlative content will continue. The episode on Monday will highlight the "Power of Love' that unites all lovers. Thus, with the blessing of Lord Krishna, Dev - Radhika and Lali ' Shekhar's love story will have a new beginning."

Choti Bahu is the story of a young girl Radhika who, having spent her entire life sacrificing her happiness for her adopted family had to give up what is rightfully hers even after marriage. She gets married to a man who loves her but was unable to enjoy the pleasures of marriage since she had to continue sacrificing for her family. After a lot of struggle when she settles down, destiny brings a lot of ups and downs in her life but "All's well that end well' holds true for this journey as well. Choti Bahu ends with where it started from i.e. Vrindavan, where the entire family comes together to celebrate Dev and Radhika's reunion, thanks to her kanha, Krishna.

To celebrate the success of the show which ruled the 7:30 evening band for nearly two years, the entire cast is having a grand farewell party. "Choti Bahu is very close to my heart. This show made me so popular that I was known as Radhika all over the world and people didn't even know my real name Rubina. I'll miss shooting with my co-stars, who have been my family for so many years." said Rubina Dilaik.

Avinash Sachdev who essays the character of Dev says, "I'm feeling very nostalgic that the show is coming to an end as I have some wonderful memories playing the role of Dev. I owe all my success to Choti Bahu and thank the viewers for all the adulation we received. The crew & cast have become like family to me and I'm going to miss working with them."
