Airtel dials to GroupM for its media AOR

After a pitch process of almost four to six months, Bharti Airtel hands over the media account to GroupM. The Digital and the outdoor mandate will be looked into by other agencies.

According to industry sources, the performance part of the digital business of Airtel is not shaky and will continue to be handled by Zenith Optimedia's Performics.

According to media reports, the Rs. 400 crore media account has estimated spends of Rs 350 crore in above-the-line (ATL) advertising and Rs. 50 crore on Out-oh-home (OOH) media.

Madison has been handling the account for almost a decade now and its outdoor activities since 2010.

The agency is in the process of issuing an official communication regarding the same in a short while. Watch this space for more details on this update.
