Zee Classic to celebrate The ‘Nasir Hussain Film Festival’ with Manzil Manzil

Over the years, maverick producer and director Nasir Hussain has given the viewers back to back hits through the 80’s. Nasir Hussain was and  is still known to this day, for setting the trend of masala films in Bollywood. Nasir Hussain has played a very important role in making the Indian film industry reach great heights with his phenomenal craft. With movies like Manzil Manzil, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Teesri Manzil, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin and blockbuster Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, this stellar producer and director always made sure his movies consisted of great music, high impact drama and an incredible cast for his movies to become major box-office hits.

Celebrating his successful journey in the industry, Zee Classic - Woh Zamana Kare Deewana, has been showcasing some of Nasir Hussain’s best movies that have been an all-time hit over a month-long festival that culminates this Sunday.  The Nasir Hussain Film Festival has been very successful and has received great appreciation from the audience. As a part of festival’s finale, Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia starrer – Manzil Manzil, will be aired this Sunday, 11th February at 12 noon.  The movie also features veteran actors like Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Prem Chopra, Danny Denzogpa and the beautiful Asha Parekh in a cameo.

The plot of the story revolves around a well-known smuggler, Niranjan Das (Prem Chopra) who has his eyes on Mr. Malhotra's (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) wealth and hopes to acquire it, some day. To make his plan a success, he decides to ask for Seema (Dimple Kapadia), Malhotra's daughter's hand in marriage for his son Roopesh, to which Seema agrees, and a marriage date is set. However, Seema’s decision changes when she meets a small-town boy, Vijay (Sunny Deol) and they fall in love. When Seema confesses to her father about her decision to not marry Roopesh, he forcibly marries her off to Roopesh. On the night of their wedding, Seema and her husband get into a scuffle which results in Seema losing her memory. Will Seema ever get her memory back? Will she ever re-unite with her love, Vijay?
