Zee Classic to air the inspiring story of ‘Iqbal’ on 4th May

Produced by Subhash Ghai and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Zee Classic with its proposition Woh Zamana Kare Deewana will air this inspirational movie on Friday, 4th May 2018 at 10pm, under the banner of ‘India’s Finest Films’.

In a nation obsessed with cricket lives a farmer named Anwar Khan (Yatin Karyekar) who loathes the sport but his wife Saida (Prateeksha Lonkar) is a true cricket lover. A heavily pregnant Saida, while watching an interesting match with the entire village, suddenly goes into labour and little Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) is born. A deaf and mute Iqbal who harbours the dream of becoming a cricketer approaches Guruji (Girish Karnad) who owns a sports centre. Guruji trains the youth to play cricket. He lets Iqbal join his team until a dispute flares up with one of the richest team members and Iqbal is forced to leave.
