When Selection Day's Radha & Javed met Sachin & Lara

Some rivalries start young and blossom into legend. While that of Radha and Javed from Selection Day is still in its nascency, the young duo got the opportunity of a lifetime to share space with the men who spawned a legendary cricket rivalry, with no clear answer to the eternal question- Sachin Tendulkar or Brian Lara?

The Selection Day rivals joined the cricket conversation on Cricket Live on Star Sports as Sachin and Lara shared stories of their respective selection days and the people who helped shape their personal journeys. The candid stories served as great inspiration to all youngsters present, followed by  Radha and Javed, played by Yash Dholye and Karanvir Malhotra, respectively, getting the chance to play a 2-overs-a-side match of gully cricket with the real-life rivals.

With 113 days to go for Selection Day in the show, the rivalry of Radha and Javed is precariously poised, something that managed to turn back the clock and bring the legendary real-life rivals on the same pitch after a gap of 12 long years. Cricket fans have a reason to rejoice!

The stories of rivalries, reel and real, will be part of the Star Sports broadcast of the IPL through Rivalry Week (April 14-21) on Cricket Live, and again on Saturday, April 20 from 2:30 PM onwards and the special Super Funday feed on Star Gold at 3 PM on April 21.

All 12 episodes of Selection day will stream on Netflix on April 19, 2019
