VOOT content head, Monica Shergill moves to Netflix India

Monica Shergill, Executive Vice President & Head of Content at Viacom18 Digital Ventures has moved to Netflix India sources have confirmed to Adgully. She will assume the role of Head, Series, International Originals, Netflix India.

This appointment comes post the high profile exits of Simran Sethi, Creative Director and Swati Shetty, Director of International Orginals and Acquisitions. Shergill will be a big addition to the Netflix India’s team to bolster their content offering.

With almost 2 decades of experience in the industry, Shergill has held key leadership roles at Star India, Sony Entertainment Television, Zee Telefilms and SAB TV. She joined Viacom18 in September 2015 and played a crucial role in expanding their content library of original shows.
