TV Channels raises the pitch to celebrate Diwali
Everyone loves to celebrate festivals and joyous occasions with their loved ones. It is no different with television channels for whom their viewers are priority. They have lined up various programming content with an aim to entertain audiences like never before.
With the festive season round the corner, TV channels have decided to entertain their viewers with maximum entertaining content right through the season.
Starting off with Hindi GEC channels, SAB TV is charged with a festive fervor of its own! This year, SAB TV makes your Diwali even more memorable with an extravagant celebration – ‘SAB Ka Diwali Mela - Andekha, Adbhut, Albela’. Woven into a story, the magnificent – ‘SAB Ka Diwali Mela will attract everyone from Lapataganj-wasis to Iman Chowki’s courageous cops, from Gokuldham Society’s residents to Chidiya Ghar’s humble Narayan Family. Even in the just launched show Jo Biwi Se Kare Pyaar, The newly married Aditya (Arjun Bijlani) and Suhani Khanna(Shweta Gulati) will celebrate Diwali with Aditya’s mom visiting their house. Suhani will cook up delicious kheer using Prestige’s smart kitchen appliances and impress her mother-in-law.

Where as, Zee TV brings to its audiences a Diwali special – ‘Diwali Dhamaka’ to be aired on Saturday, November 2nd at 7 PM. Packed with some superlative performances from Zee TV actors, this hour long bash will give the viewers a flavor of every emotion we experience during the festive season. Putting together a rib-tickling Ram-Leela act will be the super adorable kids of India’s Best Dramebaaz - Praneet, Zenith, Chinamay, Nihar, Aditya, Tejaswini and Honey. In a bid to woo Shrishty Rode (Sarita from Punarvivaah), television’s hottest men – Karan V Grover (Raaj from Punarvivaah) and Eijaz Khan (Vikrant from Punarvivaah) - were seen shaking a leg to some of the latest hits like ‘Dhating Naach’ from the movie Phata Poster Niklaa Hero. Actors including Savita Prabhune (Sulochna from Pavitra Rishta) and Farida Dadi (Baa from Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi) will be seen participating in these fun games along with Shakti Singh and the rest of the gang from Zee TV’s family.

That's not all, people who are movies freaks and love to watch English and Hindi movies will surely love to watch the movies the following channels offering them.
MAX has changed the color palette of the channel packaging for the festival from 25th of October 2013 to 9th of November 2013. The packing will be back to normal on 10th of November. As a part of Diwali Pataka weekend, MAX offers movies like Talaash, Tere Naal Love Hogaya, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and Robot on 1st November. 2nd November the channel will be showing movies like Bajatey Raho, Chak De India, and Mohabbatein and on 3rd we'll see Aashiqui 2, Rowdy Rathore, Band Baja Baraat and Dhoom 2. Even &pictures is all set to brighten up viewers lives with a laughter and a chance to win big prizes during the week of Diwal, the comedy movie festival aptly titled – Laughternoons! The festival will air between 1st to 7th November at 12 noon and feature some of Bollywood’s most popular films like Andaz Apna Apna, Kambakht Ishq, Double Dhamaal, Desi Boyz and many more.
Whereas Zee Studio has taken upon itself to give viewers an electrifying Diwali this year yet again with the best of movies lined up for the festive weekend! The channel is about to showcase blockbuster movies like Real Steel, I am number four, Pearl Harbour, Goal II, Pirates of the Caribbean- on Stranger Tides and more starring the biggest stars from Hollywood with their Diwali offerings Studio Dynamite & Studio Binge! Starting from the 1st of November till the 3rd of the month and also planning to go big on digital front with their #StudioDynamite campaign. AXN too brings ‘Diwali Dhoom’ as the best of entertainment to your homes with new series of - Sherlock, Season 1, 4th November at 9.30 pm, So You Think You Can Dance, Season 10, 4th November at 8 pm and Chosen, on 4th November at 9 pm.
MOVIES NOW has already started showcasing the most explosive blockbusters of all time in Fireworks, startied from 24thOctober, every Thursday at 9 pm. Starting with on-air, Nick is running all new episodes of its awesome shows ‘Motu Patlu’ and ‘Pakdam Pakdai’. The channel is making this Diwali ‘Nickwali’ and bringing its popular Nicktoons together to sing Diwali special jingles titled the ‘Diwali Fungoli’.
