The Inquilab launched with re-discovered, redefined & refreshed elements

India's Number 1 Urdu newspaper recently celebrated a new milestone in its 79 years of revolutionary journalism, by taking the brand to the next level with an upgraded product.

The occasion was marked by a special event held at St. Andrews Auditorium where the new look of the paper was unveiled amidst a gathering of prominent Urdu scholars and influencers.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Apurva Purohit, President, Jagran Prakashan Limited, said "Inquilab is an established leader in its space who commands an unparalleled respect  to competition and has carved its own niche in the newspaper industry as a whole. This is further endorsed by the recently launched weekly student edition 'Taleemi Inquilab' where the tremendous response and the record breaking circulation numbers crossed expectation within the first two weeks of its inception".

Mr. Shahid Latif, Editor-The Inquilab, addressed the audience explaining the salient features of the refreshed product, from design to the content plan along with the introduction of additional pages like Business and Entertainment, amongst many. These changes were warranted he said, as he made reference to reader feedback got from a recently conducted survey by the company, that played an important role in further customizing the product for its consumer.

Adding value to the celebrations were prominent personalities from the community, the likes of Mr. Amin Sayani (One of India's most popular radio announcers), Dr. Zahir Kazi (President of Anjuman-I-Islam chain of schools) and Mr. Qaisar Khalid (Special IGP- Protection of Civil Rights Wing) who shared experiences of Urdu as a language and how The Inquilab contributes to its essence not only in India but across the globe.

The evening saw a musical culmination with the audiences swaying to the melodious voice of none other than Pankaj Udhas, who was pleased to be part of the celebrations as he himself shared a nostalgic bond with The Inquilab.
