Sun TV Q4 FY16 revenues up 4% at Rs 570.68 cr; PAT grows 16%

Sun TV Network, which operates satellite TV channels across four languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam – and presently airs FM radio stations across India, besides owning the IPL franchise SunRisers Hyderabad, has reported 4 per cent increase in revenues for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2016, at Rs 570.68 crore, as against Rs 548.58 crore.

EBIDTA was marginally up by 1 per cent at Rs 426.58 crore in Q4 FY16, compared to Rs 423.26 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal. Profit after Tax (PAT) was up by 16 per cent at Rs 236 crore during the quarter in comparison to Rs 202.99 crore in Q4 FY15.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the standalone revenues were up by 7 per cent at Rs 2403.98 crore, as against Rs 2243.62 crore. EBIDTA was up by 6 per cent at Rs 1708.48 crore, while PAT was up by 18 per cent at Rs 867.25 crore, compared to Rs 737.23 crore in FY15.
