Sun TV Network Q3 FY19 revenues up 32% at Rs 904.45 cr

Sun TV Network Limited, which operates satellite television channels across four languages of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, airs FM radio stations across India and owns the SunRisers Hyderabad cricket franchise of the Indian Premier League, has reported a ~32 per cent increase in its revenues for the third quarter ended December 31, 2018 at Rs 904.45 crore, as against Rs 683.28 crore for the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal. 

The total income for Q3 FY2019 also grew by ~34 per cent at Rs 956.04 crore, as against Rs 712.39 crore in Q3 FY2018. 

At Rs 349.60 crore, subscription revenues for the quarter were up by ~24 per cent from Rs 281.82 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. 

The profit after taxes (PAT) for the current quarter grew by ~32 per cent at Rs 351.33 crore, as against Rs 266.97 crore in Q3 FY2018. After accounting for the other comprehensive income (net of taxes), the total comprehensive income for the quarter ended December 31, 2018 was up ~32 per cent at Rs 351.39 crore, as against Rs 267.03 crore for the corresponding quarter ended December 31, 2017. 

The Earnings Per Share for the current quarter grew by ~32 per cent at Rs 8.92 as against Rs 6.77 for the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
