Starcom Worldwide strengthens Delhi team

Starcom Worldwide today announces several senior appointments to strengthen its Delhi team as well as a broader role for Tarun Nigam. In addition to his current role as Executive Director India - North, Nigam will spearhead Starcom MediaVest Group's (SMG) Business Impact division nationally. This division will focus on Process Optimisation.

Commenting on the development CVL Srinivas, Chairman SMG India says, "Tarun will provide leadership to the critical area of process optimisation. There are several initiatives we are undertaking at a group level and he will be the SMG lead on these initiatives".

Deepak Sharma returns to Starcom as General Manager and will be responsible for non Samsung businesses at the Delhi office. Sharma had a five year stint with Starcom earlier. He has worked at Maxus and most recently Dentsu. Sharma will report to Tarun Nigam.

There have been a few senior hires on Starcom's Team Samsung. Sulina Menon has been appointed Executive Director while Girish Upadhyay comes on board as General Manager. Menon has previously worked at Cheil, Carat, Zee Group and Contract. Upadhyay moves from Starcom Mumbai.

CVL Srinivas, added, "These appointments are in line with our objective of enhancing client delight across all our markets. We are in the process of strengthening teams in other markets as well. MediaVest which started off with a Mumbai operation will soon have presence in Delhi and Bangalore."

In addition to the above, Anita Bosejoins VivaKi Exchange as Senior Vice President and will be the SMG buying lead in Delhi. Anita was most recently with GroupM and has over a decade's experience in media buying and client management.
