Signify partners with Star Sports to ‘light up’ Cricket Live with Philips Hue

Signify the world leader in lighting (formerly known as Philips Lighting), recently announced its partnership with Star Sports, India’s number 1 sports broadcaster as the presenting sponsor of Cricket Live for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. As a part of the partnership, the Cricket Live segment would be branded as Philips Hue Cricket Live and will be the exclusive branded property for the tournament.

With its unparalleled reach, Cricket Live, Star Sports’ flagship show, is a hit amongst the masses since its inception. The show, its anchors and experts appeal to a large base of cricket fans across India. For the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Star Sports aims to take the overall surround programming a notch above, enhancing the overall TV viewing experience for the fans across the country.

Prominent faces like Jatin Sapru, Mayanti Langer, Sanjana Ganeshan have hosted the show along with cricket experts like Anil Kumble, Irfan Pathan, Brett Lee, Dean Jones, Kumar Sangakkara, Brian Lara in the past. This year too, fans of Cricket Live can expect an amalgamation of world renowned cricket experts along with, presenters who will analyze the match and take the fun banter ahead.

Using the Philips Hue Sync App, consumers can synchronize the color and brightness of their Philips Hue lights in response to the action and sound of games, movies and music content. The combination of light and entertainment can significantly enhance the viewer’s experience, creating an incredible immersive atmosphere.

Signify became the new company name of Philips Lighting as of May 16, 2018. The legal name of Signify has been adopted in India in the beginning of 2019.

Philips Hue Cricket Live will be available for the warm up matches starting May 24th, 1.30 pm onwards on the Star Sports network. India will be playing New Zealand and Bangladesh on May 25th and May 28th, respectively.

The tournament will be broadcast live on the Star Sports network starting May 30th. In the tournament opener, the host nation England will face South Africa on May 30th. India will start their World cup campaign against South Africa on June 5th followed by Australia and New Zealand on 9th and 13th June respectively. The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be played on 16th June 2019.

Fans can watch Cricket Live on all the match days 1.30 pm onwards on the Star Sports network.
