Royal Stag to sponsor MTV Unplugged Season 3!

MTV Unplugged with its first and second season left the entire nation spell-bound as their favorite artists performed acoustic versions of some of the biggest chartbusters. Hitting the high notes and striking all the right chords, MTV returns with the Season 3 of their hit music franchise Royal Stag MTV Unplugged this November. With a promise to be exclusive, intimate and personal by offering a LIVE gig format experience to audiences, Season 3 will see no cuts and no retakes! It will be just like watching a concert! Premiering November 23, 2013 at 8pm, the third season will see an eclectic mix of artists - from Bollywood singing superstars Sonu Nigam, Farhan Akhtar, Mika, KK – Indie Rockstars Pentagram, The Raghu Dixit Project – And the Next Gen Superstars Arijit Singh, Benny Dayal! All in all a great mix!

After showcasing his singing prowess in Rock On and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar makes his small screen debut as a singer with a live performance. With an acoustic rendition of his hit tracks, his band Farhan Live will perform on ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Senorita’ and ‘Tum Ho Toh’ amongst others. Enchanting the audience with his golden voice, Sonu Nigam will make the audience fall in love with him once again as he performs on some of his super hit tracks ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’,

‘Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin’ and ‘Satrangi Re’. Giving a new twist to his chartbusters, the talented and versatile singer Benny Dayal will perform to medley of his hits like ‘Kaise Mujhe Tu’, ‘Nazren Milana’ and ‘Tu Hi To Meri Dost Hai’. His acoustic version of ‘Badtameez Dil’ and ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ are sure to leave the audience surprised! KK will display his vocal prowess and take his fans back in time as he presents some of his all time hits ‘Yaaron’, ‘Pal’ and ‘Tadap Tadap Ke’.

Punjabi rockstar Mika will make the audience groove to his beats with popular dance numbers ‘Agal Bagal’, ‘Pungi’ and ‘Tu Mera Hero’ amongst others. Bollywood’s current favorite artist Arijit Singh with his silken voice will entice the audience with the biggest hits of 2013 – ‘Tum Hi Ho’, ‘Kabira’, ‘Ilahi’, ‘Phir Le Aaya Dil’ and ‘Phir Mohabbat’! For the rock fanatics, India’s very own rock/electronic band, Pentagram will perform their hits like ‘Drive’, ‘Nocturne’ and ‘Human Failings’ in the Unplugged format for the very first time. The multi-lingual band, The Raghu Dixit Project will set the stage on fire with hits like ‘Hey Bhagwan’, ‘Gud Gudiya’ and ‘Jag Changa’!
