PR Veteran, Anthony Good, felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award by ABCI

ABCI awarded Anthony Good, Executive Chairman, Good Relations India and Good Consultancy Limited-UK, with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the PR Industry. Anthony Good was honored with the coveted award at a special award function held at The Taj in Mumbai.

An internationally known PR veteran, Anthony Good has an experience of over 40 years in the Public Relations fraternity and currently also serves as the Worldwide Chairman of Cox & Kings. He has the credibility of establishing one of India’s first independent public relations firm, Good Relations in 1988, when PR as a practice was in its formative years. Anthony Good is recognized to have raised the standards of professionalism in PR practice in the UK and India.
The tribute was in recognition of the significant contribution in elevating the eminence of the industry as a must-have professional service akin to accounting and law practices.

For the past 51 years, ABCI has been organizing the Annual Awards Night to recognize and reward outstanding talent in the profession of Business Communications.

Speaking on the occasion President, ABCI, Yogesh Joshi said “It is indeed our honour to present a lifetime achievement award to Good who is truly a legend and the 'Bhishma Pitamah' in the PR industry . ABCI for the past 51 years has been organizing the Annual Awards Night to recognize and reward outstanding talent in the profession of business communications. Some of the eminent people who have received the prestigious award in the past include Alyque Padamsee, Advertising & Brand Guru, Ashok Advani, Founder & Chairman Business India Magazine Sylvesterda Cunha, Chairman - Da'Cunha Associates among many others. This year the lifetime achievement was awarded to Shyam Benegal in addition to Anthony Good.

Receiving the award Good said, “I have seen the PR profession in India evolving into a strategic advisory practice over the years and it has been priceless to be a part of the transformation. Good Relations India now enters its silver jubilee year stronger and better led than it has ever been and is proud of the strategic role it is playing in its clients’ businesses”.

Earlier this year, Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) also awarded Anthony Good with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ‘Global PR Conclave - 2012’ in Mumbai.
