Pearson India wins the 2017 Pearson Growth Award for Marketing Excellence

Pearson PLC, the world’s leading learning company, recently awarded the Pearson Growth Award for Marketing Excellence to Ramesh Yadav, General Manager - Marketing, Pearson India. The highly coveted internal award aims to felicitate the achievements of what the organisation views as growth markets, namely India, Brazil, Middle East, South Africa, Greater China and Hispano-America.

 

Mr. Yadav won the award this year for executing first-of-their-kind marketing initiatives in the Indian education space. He was lauded for his outstanding contribution to strengthening Pearson's brand equity as he accepted the award at a ceremony held at the Pearson headquarters in London.

 

Having joined in June, 2016, Ramesh is responsible for driving the Pearson brand, its products, services and solutions in India. He has brought with him his rich experience spanning various marketing functions across various categories including brand management, trade marketing, new product development, consumer research and packaging development, as well as P&L management.

 

In his time at Pearson, Ramesh has become a bit of an evangelist, and has come to truly believe in Pearson’s mission to become a trusted partner in providing people with access to better learning. Under his guidance, the communication strategy to tap learners, teachers and parents has been radically altered, with Pearson now aiming to establish itself as an Education Solution Provider than just a publisher. Ramesh's structured marketing approach and inclination to explore areas like cross category collaboration and using digital and offline for content marketing, is helping to drive awareness and advocacy, and also helping foster brand presence across platforms.
