Adgully’s special feature section – ‘Offbeat’ – seeks to give a peek into the lesser known facets of our very well-known industry leaders. We present, in the industry leaders’ own words, an interesting read on areas that are not usually highlighted in regular media coverage – be it about their childhood days, secret skills that they possess, how they unwind from their hectic schedules, and much more.

No dream is too small and no city is too big – the incredible journey of Anadi Chaturvedi, Founder, Mighty Antz Media, and Director, Resonance Digital LLP, began in the industrial city of Kanpur. There was an aspiring young boy dreaming to become a success thousands miles away in the megacity of Mumbai.

Chaturvedi’s desire to become an accomplished director began with a three-year stint with Star TV Network. A small job in promo department prepared him to take on the mighty challenges that life showers with love.

Despite some initial rejections, there was a burning desire in Chaturvedi to prove himself that he belongs here, before blossomed larger projects in his life. Then Google happened, Zee Group, Satyameva Jayate, GVK, Star Sports and many renowned brands have chosen Chaturvedi. As a director and the master of the ship, Chaturvedi today marshalls his team to lead The Art of Living’s lifestyle and spiritual channel, Anandam.

Chaturvedi’s ventures – Mighty Antz Media and Resonance Digital LLP – and his work till date are part of a beautiful showreel.

A precious childhood trait that you still possess?
Curiosity. I am always very curious and inquisitive about anything that I don’t know. I think not knowing is the only way to grow in life.

Ever wished you had superhero powers?
I think we all are equipped with powers not less than any superhero, it is just that we don’t realise it. If we have an insight about ourselves, we all are uniquely powered by something magical, which is something different and rare.

What is your biggest fear and how do you face it?
I used to fear a lot of things in my childhood, for example, even talking to a person from the opposite sex. But as you grow up and start facing your fears and look at it in the eye, you will get to know the core of your fear and at that very moment they seem to be disappearing by themselves.

A secret that you have which no one knows about?
I hate the concept of using the western style of toilets.

What would one find in your playlist?
Old songs.

You’re a go-to activity to relax?
Long drives – I just love to drive along with friends and great music.

What is the greatest lesson that you have learned from life so far?
One can do anything if he/ she sets their heart on it.

A social cause that you are most passionate about?
I am an animal lover and they hold a special place in my heart. I don’t know if you consider this as a social cause, but I think it’s high time that we started treating our co-dwellers with respect and love. They are the reason that we are alive today.

What’s the one thing you would like to change about yourself?
Change is not a sudden activity, it is a constant process. So, I would like to keep changing myself for my own betterment till the last breath of my life. He who keeps changing is ALIVE.

If not in your current designation, what would you have been?
Frankly speaking, I have never thought about the future. I came here to Mumbai without knowing anyone in the city and without any approach in the industry. I had never thought about that too. But one thing is for sure – no matter where I am, I should be happy.

What are the three apps on your mobile you couldn’t live without?
I don’t use social media much. There is no app that I can’t live without. I don’t think anyone should reach such a state that they have to live by any app. Having said that, I do love to watch YouTube and Netflix.

Any content/ film or book you saw or read recently and why?
I am an avid film watcher. I recently watched ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘Stree’ and I loved both of them. The book that I am currently in love with is ‘The Book Of Mirdad’.

Which two organisations outside your own do you know the most people at and why?
I know a lot of people from Star India, Sony and Zee because I have worked them a lot in the past.

Two things about this industry you don’t like or don’t understand?
Ego trips and insecurity.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I like to live by the sea. But specifically, I would have loved to live in Monaco city.
