MIB announces AIR news to be broadcast on Private FM channels

Information and Broadcasting Minister, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at a function in New Delhi announced that private FM channels will begin broadcasting All India Radio news. The minister claimed that All India Radio that has an audience of 50% of the country’s population will further its penetration through private players in cities. He added that the resurgence of interest in radio content has been due to the PM popular radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
