London-based ad agency Blackmilk Media sets up ops in Mumbai

Blackmilk Media, a London-based advertising company, has begun its expansion plans with the opening of its first international office in Mumbai. Their decision to open an office in the city came after much interest in the market, due to its emergence status and large potential.

The India foray is in keeping with Chief Executive Officer Maximilian Seeburg and Chief Operations Officer Amay Velu’s aim to showcase Blackmilk’s proprietary technologies across previously untapped markets such as South Asia.

“Blackmilk Media’s aim for India is to be at the forefront of the country’s strengthening ad-tech realm, making an impact in the region by disrupting the pre-existing markets,” Maximilian Seeburg said.

India is just the start for Blackmilk Media. They plan to branch out further into South Asia, as well as East and South-East Asia, in addition to the Middle Eastern market, through bringing their proprietary technology to the regions.

Both Seeburg and Velu have extensive experience in media and investment management, which allowed for a smooth transition into the ad-tech industry, transferring the skills they had acquired in their previous roles, through working with ventures and hearing their concerns regarding the media agencies they worked with.

“Upon setting up our London office, India was next on the list for Blackmilk Media, not just because of its diversity in terms of culture and history, but also its position as one of the leaders in South Asian advertising, especially given that advertising spend in the country is set to grow by 12.5 per cent in 2018 from 9.6 per cent last year,” a company issued statement said.

With its India foray, Blackmilk Media seeks to continue reshaping the image of transparency, analytics and originality in the ad-tech realm.
