Keys Hotels appoints Director of Marketing to accelerate growth ambitions

Keys Hotels, a part of the Los Angeles based Berggruen Group, has appointed Maitreyee Das Banerjee as its new Director of Marketing, further bolstering its management team after a slew of major appointments in 2018.

Ms. Banerjee, who brings over a decade’s worth of experience in brand management, digital marketing, events and marketing communications to the table, will be responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s marketing functions.

Keys Hotels has its sights firmly set on expanding its footprint across India in 2019 and has a promising pipeline and Ms. Banerjee’s role will include designing impactful marketing campaigns, promotions and strategic management to achieve the overall sales objective of the brand.

Having most recently worked with the Lifestyle Group of India Today Magazines where her role included developing impactful brand campaigns, Ms. Banerjee’s appointment follows three key hires in the sales and human resources functions of the company late last year.

Commenting on the team expansion, Ms Anshu Sarin – CEO of Berggruen Hotels, said, “We at Keys Hotels are committed to aligning our strategy with our brand promise of Your Happy Stays as a conscious effort to deliver the best of services to our guests. Talking about her new role, Maitreyee Das Banerjee commented, “I am happy to join the leadership team at Keys Hotels. I am looking forward to delivering unique memorable guest experiences by means of differentiated services to the increasing, demanding and globally experienced business travellers through a 360 degree marketing strategy.”

Founded in the year 2006, Keys Hotels has undergone significant transformation over the recent years. This is visible both in the growing number of hotels across the country and in terms of business KPIs. It has expanded its portfolio to 21 hotels, across 19 cities in India by creating three distinguished brands – Keys Prima (Upper Midscale), Keys Select (Midscale) and Keys Lite (Economy); thus proving to be a dominant player in the mid-market segment. Keys hotels currently operate about 2000 rooms.

Through strategic appointments at their senior management Keys Hotels aim to bolster the overall business growth. The brand will be adding 1500 room keys in the coming years.
